Back in 2022, Welzijn 13 asked me to create a series of animated explainers, which you can find here. Recently, they contacted me to develop a new series based on the same style, focusing on the topic of taxes. They requested a new main color and a new character for the animations. I chose the color purple and designed a new character named Jason to lead the series, ensuring a fresh yet consistent visual approach.

Before starting the new design for Welzijn 13, I reflected on the previous series from 2022 to identify areas for improvement. I determined that the new series needed:
• More detailed illustrations
• More interesting shots
• Less literal scenes

These insights guided the development of the new animations, ensuring they were more engaging and visually appealing.

When creating the styleframes, I focused on adding extra depth of detail to give more flair to the animation. This approach also allowed for the inclusion of secondary animations, enhancing the overall visual experience and making the scenes more engaging and dynamic.

After everything was ready for animation, bringing the elements to life was crucial. Emphasizing secondary animation was important to elevate the animation compared to the previous series. Here are some of my favorite shots:
